There have been furious scenes at Brighton station as passengers demonstrated against the ongoing disruption to their daily commute.
Passengers gathered on Tuesday night to voice their anger and demand that Govia be stripped of its franchise.
Ironically many protestors were late because of delayed and cancelled trains.
Angry commuters waved placards and chanted “Southern out!” on the concourse, as security guards and British Transport Police officers looked on.
At one point, the crowd was interrupted by an announcement that a train had been cancelled, prompting them to boo.
Only a couple of hours earlier, the RMT Union had announced it was holding another 24 hour strike on Tuesday, after talks at ACAS broke down.
Many of those protesting commented that given weeks of cancellations because of staff shortages, they wouldn’t notice much difference.
The ongoing row is over Southern’s desire to increase the number of driver-only operated services, but the RMT union claims safety and jobs would be at risk.
