New Yorkers Protest Trumps Impending Ban on Muslims and …

With the president expected to announce executive orders sharply restricting refugees and visitors from Muslim majority countries, thousands of New Yorkers flooded Washington Square to protest.

Thousands of New Yorkers gathered at Washington Square Park on Wednesday night for CAIR-NY’s Rally for Muslim and Immigrant Rights. The protest was in response to the impending executive order from President Trump restricting entry to the United States from Muslim countries. Additionally, another executive order is expected to initiate the construction of Trump’s long-promised wall dividing the United States and Mexico.
