FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) – Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is in Fairbanks today and tomorrow to attend the Arctic Council Ministerial Meeting.
At the meeting, representatives from the eight arctic states will discuss issues and accomplishments of the U.S. Arctic Council Chairmanship.
Additionally, Secretary Tillerson will officially pass the two-year rotating chairmanship of the Arctic Council to Finland.
Concerned Fairbanks residents are gathering at Golden Heart Park to rally against the former Exxon Mobil CEO, who has had controversial stances on climate change.
